Cranberry Brie Pull-Apart Bread

Cranberry Brie Pull-Apart Bread

Cranberry Brie Pull-Apart Bread is a festive, shareable appetizer that combines soft pull-apart bread with melty brie cheese, tangy dried cranberries, fresh herbs, and a touch of sweetness. This easy-to-make recipe offers an elegant blend of savory and sweet flavors perfect for holidays, gatherings, or cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

Scale

Bread and Cheese

  • 1 pull-apart bread loaf (round or square, suitable for tearing apart)
  • 8 oz brie cheese, cut into small chunks

Fruits and Herbs

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 12 tablespoons fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped

Additional Flavorings

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or dairy-free butter for vegan option)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread: Slice the pull-apart bread loaf into 1.5-inch thick squares or cubes, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom crust so that the loaf stays intact and can be pulled apart after baking.
  2. Add Cheese and Cranberries: Insert small chunks of brie cheese evenly between the bread slices, tucking in dried cranberries alongside the cheese to ensure flavor is distributed throughout the whole loaf.
  3. Add Herbs and Seasoning: Sprinkle the chopped fresh rosemary or thyme over the top of the loaf. Optionally, add a light dusting of garlic powder to enhance the savory notes without overpowering the dish.
  4. Brush with Butter: Melt the butter and gently brush all sides of the bread, including in between the layers, to help create a golden, crunchy crust once baked.
  5. Bake Until Melty and Golden: Place the prepared loaf on a baking sheet, cover loosely with foil, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 to 10 minutes until the brie is fully melted and the bread is golden and crisp on the outside.
  6. Drizzle and Serve: After removing from the oven, drizzle honey or maple syrup over the top for a gentle sweetness that balances the savory cheese and tart cranberries. Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the delicious loaf.

Notes

  • Let brie sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before use to ensure even melting.
  • Do not slice the bread all the way through to maintain the pull-apart structure.
  • Distribute the cheese and cranberries evenly for flavorful bites in every piece.
  • Use fresh herbs for the best aroma and flavor.
  • Monitor baking closely to avoid drying out the bread.
