Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a thin rectangle about 12 inches by 8 inches. This thin layer will become crispy in the oven.
  2. Add the Sauce and Fillings: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along the edges. Layer mozzarella cheese evenly on top, then add pepperoni slices or your chosen fillings.
  3. Roll and Seal: Carefully roll the dough up from one long edge to the other, forming a tight log. Use the beaten egg wash along the edge to seal the roll. Then, slice into 1 to 1.5-inch pieces with a sharp knife.
  4. Brush and Season: Place the cut rolls cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil and egg wash, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Watch carefully so the cheese melts perfectly without burning the dough.
