Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large crisp green apples (such as Granny Smith), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh green apple juice (from juicer or blended and strained apples)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup chilled sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Thin apple slices
  • Twist of lemon peel

Variations (Optional)

  • 12 teaspoons ginger juice or splash of ginger ale (for Ginger Twist)
  • Fresh basil or rosemary leaves (as herbal infusion)
  • Fresh raspberries or blueberries (for berry blend)
  • Swap sparkling water with soda water with lime for extra fizz

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Green Apples: Start by washing the green apples thoroughly. Slice them thinly, leaving the skin on for extra tartness and color or peeling if you prefer a smoother texture in your drink.
  2. Juice the Apples: Extract fresh green apple juice using a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, blend the apple slices and strain them through a fine sieve to remove the pulp, creating a fresh juice base.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: In a pitcher, combine the fresh green apple juice, fresh lemon juice, and honey or agave syrup. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add Sparkling Water and Ice: Pour in chilled sparkling water over the juice mix and add plenty of ice cubes. Stir gently to chill the mocktail while keeping the bubbles lively.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Pour the mocktail into glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and an apple slice on the rim of each glass for an elegant and refreshing presentation. Serve immediately to enjoy maximum fizz and flavor.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed apple juice for best flavor instead of store-bought juice.
  • Keep all ingredients and glasses well chilled before serving to enhance refreshment.
  • Add honey or agave syrup gradually while tasting to balance tartness without over-sweetening.
  • Granny Smith or any tart green apple variety works best for a crisp and vibrant flavor.
  • Serve immediately after mixing to maintain fizz and freshness.
  • Store leftover mocktail in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.
  • Do not freeze the mixed mocktail as carbonation and texture will be lost; freeze green apple juice separately as ice cubes instead.
