Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Protein

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 68 bacon strips
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 34 garlic cloves, minced

Cheeses

  • 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated recommended)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Sauces & Dairy

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (or béchamel sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste or 1 cup tomato sauce

Pasta & Layers

  • 912 lasagna noodles (boiled al dente)

Herbs & Seasonings

  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bacon and Beef: Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same pan, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked. Add diced onions and minced garlic; sauté until softened and fragrant, season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce: In a saucepan over low heat, whisk together heavy cream and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and stir continuously until the sauce thickens smoothly, then remove from heat.
  3. Cook the Lasagna Noodles: Boil lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente (firm to the bite), then drain and lay flat to prevent sticking.
  4. Assemble the Layers: In a greased baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat mixture. Lay a layer of noodles over the meat, drizzle generously with the Parmesan sauce, scatter crispy bacon pieces, and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat these layers until ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
  5. Bake Until Bubbling and Golden: Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to set the layers.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and flavor.
  • Do not overcook noodles; al dente texture is essential to maintain structure.
  • Layer ingredients evenly to ensure balanced flavor in every bite.
  • Allow lasagna to rest before slicing to prevent messy servings.
  • Customize cheeses by mixing mozzarella, fontina, or other melty varieties.
