Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mushrooms: Gently wipe mushrooms clean with a damp cloth or paper towel to avoid sogginess. Slice large mushrooms into thick pieces and leave smaller mushrooms whole for even cooking.
  2. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh thyme or rosemary leaves, salt, pepper, and honey or maple syrup if using. Ensure the mixture is well combined.
  3. Marinate the Mushrooms: Add mushrooms to the marinade and toss thoroughly to coat. Cover and let marinate at least 20 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours refrigerated for deeper flavor infusion.
  4. Preheat the Grill: Heat grill to medium-high or preheat a grill pan over medium heat on the stove. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.
